Libya and the TWO

I have a problem with Libya becoming part of the WTO due to many factors and here are some of them:

1) We need to be a production nation to take advantage of the GAAT articles; otherwise we are merely a marketplace.

2) No more preferential trade treatment for Arabic countries such as Egypt or Tunisia as you need to extend the same privileges to all others such as Israel.

3) Shouldn't we go in there based on economic reasons first.

4) Being part of the WTO is not a political gain.

    Yes I agree, that will do. But the problem is in the format you like to be in. Countries in my opinion should first build their base economy than challenge to take advantage of WTO rules and regulations.
