The
more i read about Islam, the more convinced I become that the debacle
of the Islamic Empire was largely related to the introduction of new
restrictions on academic freedom by the likes of Al-ghazzālī
(1058–1111), an Islamic empowered theologian, from the province of
Khorasan, who helped in swaying Islam from its philosophical
enlightening core to a theological discourse.
